After many successful years in Real Estate selling individually, Judy and Elaine decided to form a partnership in the Real Estate industry in 1994. With their business continuing to grow due to many great past clients referring their friends, Judy and Elaine decided to expand their team. This way Judy and Elaine can focus on what they do best, taking care of their customers needs. In addition to the team are Shawn DeGeer, who joined in the spring of 2002 and Christine Labrecque who joined in the spring of 2008.

Elaine Markell
Sales Representative
Born in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Elaine decided many years ago to make Petawawa her home. Her husband Ken, currently serving in the military and Elaine had the great opportunity of living in many parts of Canada and overseas.
In 1987 Elaine decided to make Real Estate the career of her choice. She has recently obtained her Accredited Buyer's Representative Designation in order to keep abreast of the constantly changing educational requirements.
Elaine enjoys collecting old teddy bears, boating on one of the most spectacular rivers in Canada, antiquing and the occasional game of golf.
Judy DeGeer
Broker of Record
Judy grew up in Jackson's Point, Ontario. She Moved to Petawawa with her husband Andy and their three children (Blair, Shawn and Christine) in 1986. Shortly thereafter Judy obtained her Real Estate license and went on to get her Broker's license in 1990. Judy started up her own independent company, which she sold giving her the opportunity to purchase RE/MAX in the spring of 2000. Judy has been both the: President of the Renfrew County Real Estate Board and the President of the Canadian Cancer Society for Petawawa.
Some of Judy's favorite things to do are traveling, boating, reading and running. In 2002 Judy completed her first 1/2 marathon.
Shawn DeGeer
Buyer Consultant
Shawn moved to the area at the age of three and has spent the majority of his life watching this wonderful community grow. In 2002 Shawn decided to follow in his Mother's footsteps and become a Real Estate Professional. He joined Judy & Elaine's team and specializes in working with Buyers.
Shawn's goal is to help families find a home that best suits their wants, needs and budget; whether you are a first time Home Buyer, a growing family or perhaps downsizing as the children leave the nest.
Shawn has been both a Seller and a Buyer and understands this is one of the biggest investments you will ever make. He is always available to give a candid response to property ownership questions.
Shawn and his wife Erin, along with their children, have just had a new home built to accommodate their growing family. He enjoys family life, playing with his children, cooking, tinkering with his car, and spending quality time with friends and family.
Christine Labrecque
Buyer Consultant
Christine has grown up in Petawawa and has first hand knowledge of Military Family Life. Being raised in a Military family as well as being married to a Military member has given her a great deal of insight into the stress and pressure of finding a home in a very short period of time.
In May, 2008 Christine joined Judy & Elaine's team working side by side with Shawn, as a Buyer's Consultant. Through her own personal experiences, she understands the need for solid, reliable Buyer representation. She and her husband Ben have gone through both the Buying and Selling process and recently had a new home built. During this process, she gained valuable experience dealing with new construction. Christine is a very detail oriented and extremely organized person with a background in Administration. Coming from a Real Estate Family, Christine is excited that she is now able to help Buyers find their dream home.
Christine enjoys spending time with her husband and young daughter, hanging out with family and friends, and travelling.
Brenda Le Tissier
Client Care Administrator
Brenda joined Judy and Elaine's Team in February 2010. She has over 20 years of experience in the field of Office Administration/Customer Service; 3 years working within the Real Estate Industry. Brenda's role is to provide Administrative support to the Team and most importantly to the Team's valued Clients. She is always available to answer questions and looks forward to helping make your home Buying or Selling a great experience. Brenda's pleasant personality is greatly valued as it generates a warm, helpful, positive atmosphere for both you and our Team.
